Certified Pharmacy Technician Program (CPhT)

The Certified Pharmacy Technician Program a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Recognized Education/Training Program. It is designed to train students become a pharmacy technician, complete the Arkansas Application for Pharmacy Technicians for licensure, and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). The student will learn how to ensure the well-being of the patients who receive medication. Course instruction includes the following topics: medications, federal requirements, patient safety, quality assurance, and ordering and processing medication.
Total: 120 hours
Day classes meet: M – F for two weeks; 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Night classes meet: M – F for five weeks; 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program employs the “objectives from the Arkansas LTCF nursing assistant training curriculum for all units of instruction.” The courses shall consist of a combination of classroom and clinical instruction. The requirements for state certification will be a minimum of ninety (90) hours of training, with a balance between seventy (74) hours of theory instruction and sixteen (16) hours of skills training.
Day classes meet: M – F for two weeks; 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Night classes meet: M – F for five weeks; 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Pre-Employment Career Readiness Training Program

Training includes courses in the following: Interview Techniques, Resume Development, Interviewing Techniques, and Job Search Assistance. The O’NET Interest Profiler assessment will be given prior to training. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.
Total hours: 30 hours; Four days: T – F
Classes meet 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Customer Service Skills Training Program

Training includes courses in the following: Communication Skills, Listening Skills, Telephone Skills, and Customer Service Skills. The O’NET Interest Profiler assessment will be given prior to training. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.
Total: 30 hours; Four days: M – Th
Individual classes are available.
Classes meet 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
