The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program prepares students for patient-centered care within a medical facility.
Students develop professional communication skills, clinical competencies, and an understanding of medical safety
standards. The program meets state certification requirements with a minimum of
168 hours of training, combining classroom and clinical instruction.
Instruction includes:
- Preparing students to function as professionals in multiple healthcare settings
- Assisting physicians with clinical and administrative tasks
- Performing clinical duties such as EKGs, specimen collection, medication assistance, and patient education
